I thought it was a game, but all it ways to make up board, then they want you to pay for it when it comes to other boards. Is there even an app where I can play Catan?

This app sorely needed an update, and this totally delivered.

Save your time and dont download. If youre looking for anything other than the normal set up (and who cant do that?) you have to pay. Feels tricky.

I use this app at least once a week, its great. Ive purchased the expansion maps in-app and use them often too. Last version, although a bit outdated in its design, was an awesome tool. The design is the most obvious change in this version, it looks pretty and all, but functions far less effectively in my opinion. The color distinction is not intuitive and number legibility is low and impossible to decipher without zooming in and around the map. Please bring back a map screen that is clear and legible when viewing it in its entirety, like in the previous versions. I dont mind the flat esthetic at all, but it mandates high clarity to be part of the design as well because it is so minimal. So basically Id like to be able to put my phone on the table and reference it while I assemble the map, without having to do anything more than glance at it. Please? Again this is a great tool regardless. Still recommend it.

Updated and app just crashes immediately. Had this app for years. Terrible update.

I like it and am excited for the updates to come out for the expansion sized boards! Its a good way to randomize the board and keep it balanced w/o the arguement of players.

Can you actually play settlers with this app or is it just for setting up random boards?

Perfect for generating balanced maps, and it does exactly what it was made for!

For all those people that are confused: This isnt the Settlers of Catan game. Search Catan if you want that. This is exactly what it says it is: a board generator (it randomizes where you put the pieces for the board game to avoid contention). And honestly, I think it works great!

This tool is really good at creating random maps for the game Settlers of Catan (which is what it says it does).

Love this app me and my friends we flip all the numbers and tiles down so its all random when we play then flip them up. With this app it saves us the long start up time for when we play. I dont know what any of the options mean tho. The dots or the traditional or fair. They all seem to do the same thing minus the random one.
